Reflow Oven
This is a tool I built for reflow soldering Circuit boards. It is based on a convection toaster oven I picked up from Wallmart.
Temperature inside the oven is controlled using the top and bottom heating elements driven by separate Triacs, feedback is provided by a thermocouple positioned at the center of the oven.
The electronics for driving the reflow oven went through 2 revisions so far. The first was a hand etched PCB with TO-220 packaged Triacs. The second revision was a professionally made PCB with the microcontroller onboard and used larger TO-3 transistors with the primary current path taken off the pcb. The interface will consist of a 4d Systems colour lcd display and a rotary encoder for input.
